Oh the Places We Go

I love road trips and this past weekend we had a great one.  Sometimes there is just a need to get out and see new things, drive roads you've never driven, take lots of pictures, warm up a little, and just have some good old fashion fun.  So even though we only had a couple of days it was worth it.

So here is what we did:

Stayed at the Crystal Inn in St. George, but we were so busy that we even missed going for a swim in the pool.

We got to see some family that we hadn't seen in forever and one little guy we had never seen before.

Saw some awesome views in Valley of Fire St Park,
NV.

Saw Petroglyphs at 2 different places
Bear Dance @ Valley of Fire

Zipper petroglyph at Parawon Gap

Saw interesting rocks....

Can you see the giant hand holding a boat?

            And some wildlife.

Coyote looking for a snack.

One of the few flowers, it is January after all.
Drove through Snow Canyon, just because we could.

We also, as always took the long way home.  Where we saw mountains I had never see before.  MILES of sagebrush on roads where we didn't see anyone for hours.  Went through some majorly tiny towns with some funky names - Veyo, Ivins, New Castle, Minersville, Beaver, Enterprise, etc.  We looked for a random rock wall built by the CCC near Veyo, which we never found, but who cares because it was a vacation. :)

Last of all we did LOTS of driving...

Thanks for stopping by my blog!!  Much love!  Peace Out.  -Sarah Beth
